Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Dades Valley/Tinghir
After breakfast, your driver will pick you up from your hotel to begin your desert adventure. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi N’Tichka Pass, with panoramic views and photo stops along the way. Visit a women’s argan oil cooperative to discover the traditional process and learn about its culinary and cosmetic uses.

Continue to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous Hollywood filming location. Explore its historic streets and enjoy breathtaking views with a local guide.

Travel on through Ouarzazate and the Skoura palm oasis before reaching Dades Valley or Tinghir, where dinner and overnight stay will be provided at a comfortable hotel.

Day 2: Dades/Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi Desert
After breakfast, journey along the “Road of 1000 Kasbahs” through lush oases, palm groves, and Berber villages. Stop at the spectacular Todra Gorges, where cliffs rise 350 meters high. Enjoy a short walk in this natural wonder before continuing to Erfoud, famous for its fossils.

Arrive in Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes. Begin your Sahara experience with a sunset camel ride into the dunes, followed by free sandboarding on the highest ridges.

Day 3: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
Wake up early to witness the unforgettable sunrise over Erg Chebbi. After breakfast and a refreshing shower at camp, transfer by 4×4 to meet your driver.

Travel through the scenic Draa Valley, dotted with kasbahs and palm oases. Stop in Ouarzazate for lunch before crossing the Anti-Atlas Mountains. Arrival in Marrakech is expected around 7:00 PM, concluding your Sahara adventure.

Things to Know Before You Go

✅ Deposit Required – A small deposit secures your hotel, camp, camel ride, and tour seat. The remaining balance is paid in cash directly to your driver.

✅ Luggage Storage – Your main luggage stays safely in the van and is transferred to the camp by 4×4. For the camel ride, carry only a small backpack with essentials (water, scarf/turban, personal items).

✅ What to Wear – Comfortable clothes for the camel ride are recommended (jeans, long pants, or long shorts).

✅ Recommended Items – Hat, sunglasses, sturdy walking shoes, sunscreen, and wet wipes will make your journey more comfortable.

The distance is about 564 km, but the journey is comfortably divided into three days with sightseeing stops:

  • Day 1: Marrakech ➜ Dades Valley/Tinghir
    Approx. 6–7 hours driving, with stops at Ait Ben Haddou, Ouarzazate, and Skoura before an overnight stay in the Dades Valley or Tinghir.

  • Day 2: Dades/Tinghir ➜ Merzouga (Erg Chebbi dunes)
    Approx. 5–6 hours driving, including visits to Todra Gorges and Erfoud before arriving in Merzouga for your camel ride and overnight at Luxury The White Camp.

  • Day 3: Merzouga ➜ Marrakech
    Approx. 8–9 hours driving, with breaks in the Draa Valley, Ouarzazate, and the Anti-Atlas before reaching Marrakech in the evening (~19:00).

Yes, you can bring your luggage. You will have it with you at the first night hotel, and for the desert luxury camp another driver will transfer everything safely to the camp.

For the camel ride, we recommend wearing jeans or long trousers. Please prepare a small backpack with and your personal belongings. Do not forget sunglasses, a scarf, a hat, and your bottle of water. the other luggage would be dropped by your driver in your tent during your camel ride.

In winter it gets quite cold at night in the desert (temperatures can drop to around 0). You will be provided with warm blankets, but we would advise bringing warm clothes for sleeping.

Yes our driver will pick up you in your hotel/riad/ Airbnb at no extra charge cost.

The camel trek lasts for about 1 hour, depending on the season, daylight, etc.

Yes, sandboarding is free. You will have it during the camel ride, when we stop at the dunes to watch the sunset and enjoy sandboarding.

No, you don’t need to bring towels, the hotel and Luxury The White Camp provides towels and essentials for a comfortable stay.

Yes, the camel ride is included. If you prefer to skip it, the camp driver will transfer you directly to the camp where you can enjoy mint tea and relax.

Quad biking is included in the second package option.

Yes, if you booked the quad package option, you can choose quad biking at sunset. You will stop in the big dunes for photos, relax, and enjoy sandboarding. You can also add another hour of driving for an extra charge of €30 per person.
