Full description 3-Day Shared Luxury Desert Tour – Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga
Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erg Chebbi Dunes
Your adventure begins early in Fes, with pick-up from your hotel or airport. On the way south, stop in Ifrane (the “Switzerland of Morocco”) for photos, then continue to Azrou to meet the playful monkeys in the cedar forest. Enjoy lunch in Midelt before crossing the scenic Tizi N’Talghemt Pass with its breathtaking gorges and views of the Ziz Valley.
By afternoon, reach Erg Chebbi (Merzouga Dunes) where your camel awaits. Ride across the golden dunes, stop to admire the sunset, try sandboarding, and capture unforgettable photos. Arrive at your luxury desert camp, where you’ll be welcomed with mint tea, followed by dinner, live music, campfire fun, and a magical night under the stars.
Day 2: Merzouga – Nomads – Khamlia – Oasis Exploration
After breakfast, set out on a 4×4 desert tour. Discover black volcanic rocks, visit a nomadic family in their tent, and experience the unique rhythms of Gnawa music in Khamlia village. In spring, see the seasonal Lake Dayet Srij, home to flamingos and desert wildlife.
After lunch in Merzouga or Hassi Labied, explore the ancient irrigation canals and walk through a lush palm oasis at the foot of the dunes. Return to the camp to relax, shower, and enjoy another magical evening with dinner and stargazing in the Sahara.
Day 3: Erg Chebbi – Draa Valley – High Atlas – Marrakech
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes — a once-in-a-lifetime view. After breakfast, drive by 4×4 back to the meeting point to rejoin the group. Travel through the Draa Valley, stopping to admire kasbahs, Berber villages, and dramatic landscapes. Cross the High Atlas Mountains before arriving in lively Marrakech around 7:00 PM, with drop-off at your riad in the medina.

To know before you go :
You will receive booking confirmation by email.
A deposit is required to secure your spot (hotel, camp, and camel ride). The rest is paid in cash to the driver/guide.
This tour is ideal for easy-going travelers, backpackers, and students.
Luggage is welcome. Bring a small backpack for essentials (sunglasses, scarf, hat, water bottle). Larger bags will be taken directly to your luxury tent while you enjoy the camel ride.
In winter, pack warm clothes for sleeping, as desert nights can reach 0°C.
The trip is done by minibus or taxi for the main journey, and a 4×4 vehicle in the desert.

What do we need to pack for camel ride?
For the camel ride, we recommend wearing jeans or long trousers. Please prepare a small backpack for your personal belongings. Do not forget sunglasses, a scarf, a hat, and your bottle of water. the other luggage would be dropped by your driver in your tent during your camel ride.
Is there an opportunity to try sandboarding?
Yes if you wish it just mention it on booking request.
How long is the camel ride in Merzouga dunes?
The camel trek lasts for about 1 hour, depending on the season, daylight, etc.
Can we hire quad or Buggy ?
Yes, you can. there are plenty of ATV rental companies in Merzouga who supply good quality quad bikes and dunes buggies to try in Erg Chebbi dunes. Your guide will assist you with that, and you directly pay the supplier in Merzouga.
Can we skip the camel ride and go to the camp by 4x4?
