3-Day Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech Luxury The White Camp.

Day 1: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley

Your adventure starts at 7 AM with a scenic drive through the High Atlas Mountains, stopping for amazing views and coffee. Cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass before reaching Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed kasbah and famous movie set (Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia).

After exploring, enjoy a free lunch, then continue through Ouarzazate, Skoura, and the Valley of Roses before arriving in Dades Valley. Follow the Dades River to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todgha Gorge – Merzouga (FREE Quad Biking & Camel Ride)

After breakfast, drive through the Road of 1001 Kasbahs to Tinghir Oasis. Walk under palm trees before reaching the breathtaking Todgha Gorges, perfect for photos.

After lunch, travel through Rissani, known for its date market, before heading to Merzouga. Upon arrival, enjoy a FREE 30-minute quad biking experience in the desert—an exciting way to explore the dunes!

Then, switch to camels for a ride across the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes. Stop for a magical sunset, try sandboarding, and capture unforgettable photos.

Day 3: Merzouga – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Pass through the Draa Valley, stopping for scenic views, then continue to Ouarzazate for lunch. Cross the Anti-Atlas Mountains, arriving in Marrakech by 7 PM.

Questions & Answers

Marrakech to Merzouga is 564 km, the first night you will sleep in Dades valley and reach Merzouga on the second day. Day 3 you will spend driving back to Marrakech.

Solo travelers will stay in a shared triple or quadruple room (included in the tour price). If you prefer a private room, you can upgrade for just €10 per person.

Both shared and private rooms at the hotel have private bathrooms.

Yes, you can bring your luggage with you, it can stay safe in the 4×4 or minivan.

For the camel ride, we recommend wearing jeans or long trousers. Please prepare a small backpack with and your personal belongings. Do not forget sunglasses, a scarf, a hat, and your bottle of water. the other luggage would be dropped by your driver in your tent during your camel ride.

In winter it gets quite cold at night in the desert (temperatures can drop to around 0). You will be provided with warm blankets, but we would advise bringing warm clothes for sleeping.

The camel trek lasts for about 1 hour, depending on the season, daylight, etc.

There will be a few sand boards available at the luxury camp operator’s lodge to use at leisure. You can ask for one to take to the camp with you. They are free.
