Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert
Your journey starts in the morning when we pick you up from your hotel, riad, or the airport in Fes. Leaving the city behind, we head towards the beautiful Middle Atlas Mountains.
Our first stop is Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” because of its clean streets, alpine-style houses, and cool climate. After some free time for photos, we continue to the Cedar Forest of Azrou, where you can meet the friendly Barbary monkeys living among the ancient cedar trees.
We then drive through mountain landscapes and Berber villages before stopping in Midelt for lunch. In the afternoon, the scenery changes as we travel through the spectacular Ziz Valley, famous for its thousands of palm trees and breathtaking views.
By late afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga, where the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi rise from the desert horizon. Here, your camel caravan will be waiting. Enjoy a peaceful camel ride through the dunes as the sun begins to set, painting the Sahara in shades of gold and orange.
After stopping to watch the sunset and try sandboarding, continue to Luxury The White Camp. Relax with a glass of Moroccan mint tea before enjoying a delicious dinner. In the evening, gather around the campfire for traditional Berber music and drumming under a sky full of stars before spending the night in your private luxury tent.
Day 2: Merzouga Desert – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Ifrane – Fes
Wake up early to experience one of the highlights of the Sahara: sunrise over the dunes. As the first light touches the sand, the desert becomes truly magical.
After breakfast and a shower at the camp, we begin our journey back to Fes. We travel once again through the beautiful Ziz Valley, stopping at panoramic viewpoints along the way for photos.
After lunch in Midelt, we continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing cedar forests and traditional villages. There will be time for a final stop in Ifrane before reaching Fes in the evening.
