Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley
Your 4 Days Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour begins with an early pick-up from your riad, hotel, or airport in Marrakech. Travel through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass, the highest road pass in Morocco, while enjoying breathtaking views of Berber villages, mountain landscapes, and scenic valleys.
Continue to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most famous kasbahs and the filming location for movies such as Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, and Game of Thrones. After exploring the ancient village and enjoying lunch, continue towards Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Africa.
Travel through the Skoura Oasis and the Valley of Roses before arriving in Dades Valley. Here, you’ll discover the famous Monkey Fingers rock formations and enjoy panoramic views over the valley before checking into your hotel.

Continue through Berber villages, palm groves, and the desert gateway towns of Erfoud and Rissani before arriving in Merzouga.

Continue to the abandoned village of Mefis, known for its historic mines and desert landscapes. Afterwards, visit Khamlia Village, famous for its Gnawa musicians, where you’ll enjoy a live performance of traditional African rhythms.
Depending on the season, visit Lake Dayet Srij, home to flamingos and migratory birds. After lunch, explore the oasis of Hassi Labied and discover the ancient irrigation system that has sustained local agriculture for generations.
