Take a Merzouga Day trip to discover one of the hidden gems of the Nomads. Merzouga, or Erg Chebbi is famous for its huge dunes. you will have a tour of the dunes on a 4×4 allowing you to visit the black volcanic rocks of marble fossils, visit a nomad family living in a tent, visit Khamlia village famous with black people and entertainment with their spiritual music of Gnawa, and visit the lake Dayte Sarji that forms in springtime which attracts pink flamingos and wildlife.
You will have a break for lunch in Merzouga or Hassi Labied. After lunch, you will see the canal irrigation system and have a walk on the oasis located at the foot of the dunes.

On the 1 day 4×4 Merzouga Sahara tour, After having your breakfast we pick you up and start our adventure. Our route will take us along the Sahara desert landscapes with spectacular views of the local villages. You will have some free time to capture the amazing landscapes on camera as the guide makes stops anywhere you need. Enjoy our ATV excursion in comfortable vehicle to try some thrilling across Sahara dunes.
We drive to explore the tiny villages around Erg Chebbi dunes such as Hassi Labied, Merzouga and Khamlia. In Hassilabied you will have a stop at a garden where you will view the canal irrigation system. From here we will continue the trail towards Merzouga. Finally, the guide readjusts the vehicle to suit roads and then we head back to Merzouga village and to your hotel.

Although there are fewer shops in Merzouga compared to other big cities of Morocco but still you can buy number of products from its local market like Dattes , Fossiles, Crafts, Carpets, long dresses, Merchandise and if you want to cook traditional Moroccan Cuisine in your Kitchen than do not forget to purchase the local spices particularly Ras El Hount.
Is Merzouga cheaper than Marrakech?
Yes, Merzouga is much more cost friendly than Marrakech. The Town of Merzouga is very friendly, cheap and easy to explore. Food and beverages can also be found in excellent prices.
